You accept this Privacy Policy when you sign up for, access, or use our products, services, content, features, technologies or functions offered on our website and all related sites, applications, and services (collectively “800-4GPS Services”).  We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website. The revised version will be effective as of the published effective date.


Information Collection

800-4GPS is required to collect the following information to effectively provide our services and to help us personalise and improve your experience.

We collect information in a few ways:

  • Information we get from your use of our services

As a provider of GPS Solutions, we are required to have access to real time Device-Specific Information regarding your personal and/or company asset(s). Our servers automatically log this device-specific information and store it as ‘History’ for a predefined period of time dependant on the particular service and make it accessible to both you and our monitoring personnel. At the end of the predefined period some logs are automatically and permanently cleared from our servers. Your login usage details are also logged by our servers and include information such as, username, login time and login duration.


Transparency and Choice

People have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect and how it is used. You may also choose not to provide certain information. However, it is important to remember that the quality of our services is reliant on the information that we receive from you.


Updating Your Information

We aim to keep your personal information up to date at all times and request that you update us with any changes to your information. When you request an update to your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

How We Use Information That We Collect

We store and process your Personal Information securely on our computers and those of our affiliates.

Access of clients’ Personal Information is restricted to 800-4GPS’s employees, affiliates and authorised agents who require specific information in order to process requests, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations. We review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures regularly to guard against unauthorised access to systems.

800-4GPS is committed to adequately protecting your personal information regardless of where the data resides and to providing appropriate protection for your personal information where such data is transferred across borders.


Information We Share

We may share your Personal Information with:

  • Banking partners - For transaction processing. These include First Atlantic Commerce Ltd. and First Citizens Bank
  • Law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties - Pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process or requirement applicable to 800-4GPS or one of its affiliates; when we need to do so to comply with law or credit card rules; or when we believe, in our sole discretion, that the disclosure of Personal Information is necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, to report suspected illegal activity or to investigate violations of our User Agreement
  • Affiliates - To enable affiliates under contract with us to support our business operations
  • Other third parties - Upon your request. For Example: To an insurance provider in order to secure discounts as a result of having our services installed
  • Other third parties - With your consent. For Example: For a case study, testimonial or referral
  • Companies that we plan to merge with or are acquired by - Should such a combination occur, we will require that the new combined entity follow this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information. If your personal information could be used contrary to this policy, you will receive prior notice.

We may share aggregated, Non-Personally Identifiable Information publicly and with our partners including, publishers, advertisers or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our services.

These refer to external service providers such as security, towing, shipping, technology, fraud prevention, credit bureau & collection agency, marketing, customer service, external accountants or other trusted companies, organizations or individuals. Our contracts with Affiliates dictate that the Personal Information made available to them in connection with the services they perform are not for their own benefit and use for purposes other than those intended is strictly prohibited.
